How to fill an air gap on a heat sink

Thermal Interface Materials such as Void or Gap Fillers are designed to remove air gaps by filling the mating surface between components and heat sinks. The excellent thermal conductivity of these materials ensures heat passes through the component and into the heat sink as efficiently as possible.
